CHOCOLATE SPRINKLE DONUTS









INGREDIENTS :

For the donuts

1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon  powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
6 tablespoons sour cream
1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

For the frosting

1/2 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons milk
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup sprinkles


#INSTRUCTIONS

1# To make the donuts, preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2 In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and espresso powder.
3 In a small bowl, beat together the vanilla, egg, sour cream, milk, and oil.
4 Stir the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined. Spoon in a greased donut pan.
5 Bake for 8 minutes or until the tops spring back when you touch them. Let the donuts cool in the pan before frosting.
6 To make the frosting, add sugar, butter, and milk to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Boil for exactly 60 seconds and remove from heat.
7 Stir in chocolate chips and continue stirring until the chocolate has melted. Use frosting immediately as it will harden quickly.
8 Dip the tops of the donuts into the frosting and remove to a cooling rack.
9 Immediately top with sprinkles.

10 Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
